When we first connected with Britt, we outlined the vague, somewhat absurd idea of a 200 person wedding on two remote islands that encapsulated three days, four parties, a global guest list, and plenty of family "complications". In just 9 months, and with her genuine warmth, humor, and firm guidance, she transformed this seemingly ridiculous vision into what our guests dubbed "a wedding for the books". From our logistically challenging venues to multiple boat cruises, housing 60 separate cabins, faulty shipping and vendor schedules, and stunning floral and decor design...she did not rest until she had pulled off the impossible. Throughout this process, she became the invaluable confidante who makes crazy wedding planning a bit more fun and entertaining, even amongst chaos.

From both of us to the team at True North Events: thank you for being the genius who made it happen. It is one thing to pull off a wedding in "normal" locations, but quite another to pull off three days of logistical and visual perfection on remote Alaskan islands. "Brittany was an amazing wedding coordinator and I couldn’t have asked for someone to make me feel more at ease during my wedding planning process. Britt went above and beyond her duties to make sure that I felt good about everything leading up to my wedding, and she had a unique capability to be able to sense any time I felt stressed and immediately jump in to take something off of my plate. Brittany has experience planning everything from huge corporate events to intimate weddings, and she has lived in both New York and Alaska so she is able to adapt to each of her client’s personal styles while always making it a classy event. My venue was very rustic at a gold mine in Alaska without running water or electricity, and although this was one of her first weddings at this venue it went off without a single glitch. On the day of my wedding, I did not have to worry about a thing and was able to seamlessly enjoy my day to the fullest because Brittany was coordinating everything so well behind the scenes.
Brittany is very determined and will stop at nothing to make your event as perfect as possible. I requested a very specific shade of light blush linens that were extremely hard to find and not available anywhere in Alaska. Without complaint, Brittany scoured the market and after a lot of reach out, found the exact right color. She is very artistic and created my wedding gifts (she personally etched 150 mason jars with my logo, and after breaking some did it all over again and stayed up all night), and she painted all of my signs. When she knew that I was worried about transportation to the venue, she personally put together a shuttle schedule of four different shuttle routes to make it easy for my guests to figure out the day without getting me involved. Britt also has a great partner in her husband who also builds décor, and they build the beautiful wood tap for our kegs. Between the two of them, there’s nothing they can’t do. Mix this with how fun, sensitive, and kind Brittany was, and you’ve got yourself a wonderful coordinator!"
